Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has made the ten-man shortlist by CAF for the 2013 African Player of the Year award.
The Al Ain striker joins reigning Player of the Year, Yaya Toure and a host of other stars on the shortlist decided by the votes from members of the Technical & Development and the Media Committees from the initial 25-man list.
Gyan is the only Ghana international on the list after Kwadwo Asamoah missed the cut.
The winners will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria.
