The Acting High Commissioner of Ghana in South Africa has donated some food items to the Black Stars ahead of their departure to Zambia.

Slyvester Parker-Allotey donated the items to the squad on Wednesday after they ended their five-day training camp in South Africa.

The Black Stars were in Johannesburg to prepare for their 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Chipolopolo in Ndola on Saturday.

The items were received by Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah on behalf of the squad.

Parker-Allotey, who watched the Black Stars' first training session on Sunday, says he wants to boost the team to beat the Zambians.

"This is our small contribution to boost the Black Stars to beat our opponents on Saturday," Parker-Allotey said.

"We are praying for you and we are confident that you will beat the Zambians on Saturday."

Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi thanked Mr. Parker-Allotey for his support to the squad since their arrival in South Africa.

"Your support for the Black Stars since we arrived here on Sunday has been very very helpful. We are very grateful," Nyantakyi said.

The Black Stars will leave Johannesburg on Thursday for Ndola where the match against Zambia will be played.
