Players and officials of the semi-finalists of the 2024 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship visited the Prampram Beach on Monday August 5, 2024, to unwind after participating in a grueling series of games over the Group phase of the championship.
Members of the Planning Committee, staff of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Catch them Young Referees, players and officials of the semi-finalists spent their day off at the beautiful Prampram resort, just a short drive from the Championship venue to loosen up after days of hectic activities at the talent identification Championship.
The one-day break, coincided with a national holiday in Ghana, earmarked for the celebration of Founders Day - a day set aside to honour the memory of the country's Founding Fathers by the Government.
The Western, Eastern, Northern and Volta Regions are the four remaining teams in the Championship who will battle it out in the semi-finals of the Championship on Tuesday August 6, 2024.
The players and officials spent the day soaking up the sun, playing games and improving team bonding as the famous Championship reaches its home stretch.
The atmosphere remained light-hearted and full of fun, spicing up the sense of relaxation ahead of Tuesday's semi-finals.
The Beach Day Trip provided a much-needed break and enhanced the bond between players and officials participating in the 2024 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship.
Northern Region will take on Western Region in the first semi-final clash on Tuesday, before Eastern Region square off with Volta Region in the second semi-final match, which kicks off at 14:00GMT (2pm local time).
The matches of the Championships are being telecast live to various platforms including the GFA Official Facebook page and Max TV.
The KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship, launched in 2021, has been an avenue for talent discovery for clubs, particularly Premier and Division One League clubs, with several players being beneficiaries of the esteemed competition.
