KGL U7 Colts: Volta Region square off with Brong Ahafo while Northern take on Central in final Group A games

Volta Region and Brong Ahafo clash in the final Group A match of the 2024 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship on Saturday August 3, 2024.

Farouk Salifu's side will be aiming maintain a firm grip at the top when they square off against Brong Ahafo at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram in Saturday's second game. Match kicks off 15:00 GMT (3pm).

Brong Ahafo could secure a semi-final berth if they beat the Group A leaders and other result go their way.

In the first Group A match on Saturday August 3, 2024, third-placed Northern Region, will take on Central Region. Match kicks off 10am local time.

Northern Region will go above Ashanti Region in second place if they manage to beat Central Region in what promises to be a thrilling encounter

Volta Region are top of the Group with seven points, followed by Ashanti on six points while Northern Region are third on the table with five points.

Brong Ahafo and Central Regions have amassed three points each from three games.

Ashanti Region, second on the table with six points from four matches, will be hoping other results go their way to maintain their second position on the table to secure qualification to the semi-finals.

The matches of the Championships are being telecast live to various platforms including the GFA Official Facebook page and Max TV.

The KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship, launched in 2021, has been an avenue for talent discovery for clubs, particularly Premier and Division One League clubs, with several players being beneficiaries of the esteemed competition.

The ten Regional Football Associations have selected the best U17 players from their Colts competitions to represent their regions in the Championship which is aimed at identifying, training and developing young talents for the national youth teams.
