Legon Cities were plunged deeper into relegation peril after a 1-0 defeat at home to Aduana FC in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
Abdel Latif Bamba scored the only goal of the match in the 43rd minute to separate the two teams at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Bamba was set up by Godfred Poku Wakii’s pin point cross and the Ivorian fired into the bottom corner to give his side the lead before the break.
The result has lifted Aduana FC to 11th position with 17 points and will be a confident mood ahead of their next game against defending champions FC Samartex 1996 next weekend.
Legon Cities’, winless in four matches, have seen their woes deepened as they remain rooted in the Premier League table.

Young Apostles impressed with a solid defensive display and sniffed a point off the Kpando-based side but Lions demonstrated their Premier League title pursuit with a remarkable win in front of their passionate home fans.
Heart of Lions are top with 30 points from 15 games, three points above second-placed Gold Stars FC who have played a game less.
