Deputy sports minister Dr Omane Boamah has urged the Black Stars to go for victory as Ghana plays Malawi for a place at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The two sides will meet on Saturday at the at the CIVO Stadium in Lilongwe in the final match of the last round qualifier as Ghana leads the tie, 2-0 from the first leg.

Dr. Boamah, who is in Malawi for the game conveyed a message from the Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama to the team.

"You must remember that all the fans at the stadium will be backing Malawi but you should not be intimidated because you have a bigger backing," he told the players.

"The President says you must remember that over 24 million Ghanaians will be praying and supporting you during the match. They will be watching the game live on television.

"You must make the country proud once again by fighting for victory because it is not going to be an easy task while playing away from home but the people of Ghana believe you that you can do it.

"The country will rightly reward you. In fact we came here with the bonuses because we believe that you can do it."

The winner of the tie over the two legs will qualify for the tournament in South Africa.
