The semifinal of the Women's FA Cup throws up another exciting contest between former champions, Police Ladies and Supreme Ladies at the Madina Astro Turf on Sunday.

Police Ladies have a realistic chance of making the final after delivering a spirited performance to defeat reigning champions Ampem Darkoa FC 2:1 in the quarter final stage. The free attacking play of Police Ladies in recent games could be a weapon in this encounter, but they also have some defensive issues to deal with after conceding 18 goals in the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League. That not withstanding, they will aim for another Cup final 8 years after beating Fabulous Ladies 2-1 to win the maiden edition in 2016.

Supreme Ladies booked their semi-final spot after defeating lower-tier side Nasara Ladies 4-1 via penalties - for their second semifinal appearance in history. A goal from Linda Owusu Ansah was not enough as they got eliminated by Hasaacas Ladies, at this stage in the 2020/21 edition of the competition. Supreme Ladies have been impressive in the Women's Premier League so far and would want to keep the momentum going by beating the former Champions on Sunday.

The game which is scheduled for 4pm kick off at the Madina Astro Turf on Sunday, May 5, will be broadcast live on Max TV.
