The Premier League continues on Sunday October 20, 2024, with eight (8) enthralling matches to look forward to across the country in match week 7 of the Ghanaian top-flight.

Vision FC vs Bechem United

Bechem United travel to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex to battle newly promoted side Vision FC on Sunday.

The Premier League new boys have put up decent performances so far, recording two sin, three draws and one defeat in six matches.

The Tema based are 7th in the league table with 9 points, scored 5 and conceded 3. Vision FC goes into the game with two consecutive draws and one victory in their first three home matches this season. They will hope to secure the maximum  points on Saturday to continue that impressive run.

Bechem United look to be vying for a place in the top half of the League table after keeping Medeama SC pointless with a comfortable 2-0 win last Sunday. They are currently 10th in the table with 8 points, scored 3 and conceded 3. The Hunters have won two, drawn two and lost two. Bechem are winless in their last 17 consecutive away league games since 2023 and will yearn for victory on Saturday.

Both sides are meeting in the league for the first time since Vision FC gained promotion into the Premier League this season.

Asante Kotoko vs FC Samartex 1996

Asante Kotoko welcome FC Samartex 1996 to the Len Clay Stadium in a titanic Premier League game on Sunday October 20, 2024.

The Porcupine Warriors, second in the table with 11 points from five games, face off against the defending champions in the top liner of the weekend. Kotoko have recorded three wins and two draws and have an outstanding match against Legon Cities.

They are unbeaten in their first three home league games this season (W2, D1) and will be eager to maintain that strong home performance on Sunday.

Defending champions FC Samartex 1996 also remain unbeaten since the start of the campaign with 10 accumulated points, having won 2 and drawn 4. The Timber Giants have scored 6 and conceded 3 so far. Head coach Nurudeen Amadu men have drawn all their first 3 away league games prior to this encounter, the latest was a goalless stalemate against Medeama SC. They’ve lost twice at Asante Kotoko in the last two seasons.

Asante Kotoko have played FC Samartex twice at home in the league since the Timber Giants gained promotion into the Premiership in the 2022/23 season with Asante Kotoko winning in both encounters.

In the 2022/23 season Asante Kotoko beat FC Samartex 2-1 and won 1-0 in the 2023/24 season.

Dreams FC vs Hearts of Oak

Dreams FC entertain Hearts of Oak at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday match week 7 of the Ghana Premier League, eager for their first win of the season.

Last Sunday’s trip to Dormaa Ahenkro saw Dreams FC suffer a 2-0 defeat against Aduana FC, a result which added up to their five-game winless start to the campaign. The Believers have recorded 3 consecutive defeats and 3 consecutive draws after match week 6. They are currently 17th in the table with 3 points, scored 2 and conceded 6.  Winless Dreams FC will be keen to get back to winning ways on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak are certainly up against it and head to Dreams FC at the back of an outstanding away victory to Young Apostles (1-2). The Phobians have managed to secure 8 points, scored 4 and conceded 4. They are currently 9th in the league table, having won 2, drawn 2 and suffered 2 defeats.  Hearts of Oak have recorded four points in their away matches in this campaign ahead of the clash, (W1, D1, L1).

Dreams FC have played Heart of Oak four times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with Dreams FC winning one and drawing three in a row.

In the 2020/21 season, Dreams FC beat Hearts of Oak 2-0, drawn 2-2 in the 2021/22 season, drawn goalless in the 2022/23 season and recorded a 2-2 draw in the 2023/24 season.

Berekum Chelsea vs Legon Cities

Legon Cities travel to the Golden City Park to face Berekum Chelsea in match week 7 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Chelsea are currently 6th in the league table with 10 points. Having won 2, drawn 4 and scored 4, they are among the clubs with the least number of goals conceded in this campaign (2). Chelsea goes into this fixture with an unbeaten record in their home league matches so far (W2, D1). Coach Samuel Boadu side will be eager to secure all the spoils on Sunday to maintain that impressive home performance.

Legon Cities endured a tough season, their poor run continued with a tepid performance in a 3-1 defeat to Nsoatreman FC, stretching their winless sequence to five matches (D1, L4). The Royals have one outstanding game to play in match week 6 against Asante Kotoko. They’ve failed to keep clean sheets away from home in this campaign and have conceded the most goals in the league (9). Legon Cities are currently at the bottom of the league table with 1 point, scored 3 and conceded 9.

Berekum Chelsea have played Legon Cities four times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with Berekum Chelsea winning all.

In the 2020/21 season, Berekum Chelsea beat Legon Cities 2-1, won 1-0 in the 2021/22 season and repeated same score line both 2022/23 season and 2023/24 season.

Nsoatreman FC vs Holy Stars 

Nsoatreman FC welcome Holy Stars to the Nana Koranmansah Park on Sunday.

It’s proven to be a very mixed start to the Premier League season for Nsoatreman FC, who after winning 2-0 at home against Young Apostles in their first game, have taken 7 points from the opening six league games (W2, D1, L3). The Nsoatre lads are currently occupying the 11th position in the league table, having scored 6 and conceded 7. Despite the inconsistences in Yaw Preko’s men, they are unbeaten at home in this campaign (W2, D1) and will hope to pick the maximum points on Sunday to extend that magnificent performance on home soil.

A 1-0 victory over Karela United last weekend was Holy Stars second win in the league across the last six outings after losing their last three consecutive games in the league. The newly promoted side are behind the host with same points accumulation, scored 6 and conceded 7goals. The Aiyinase lads head into this fixture with two consecutive away defeats.

Both sides are meeting for the first time in the league since Holy Stars gained promotion into the top-flight this season.

Karela United VS Heart of Lions.

Karela United welcome Heart of Lions to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday match week 7 in the Ghanaian top-flight.

United will be hoping to recover from their gutless 0-1 defeat to newly promoted side Holy Stars, their third defeat in the on-going Premier  League campaign. Having won 1, drawn twice and suffered 3 defeats, Karela are currently 14th in the league table with 5 points, scored 4 and conceded 5. They head into this game with a winless record in their last three home matches (D2, L1) and will be desperate to get their first home win in the campaign here on Sunday.

Five consecutive draws and one win have seen Heart of Lions occupying the 8th position in the league table with 8 accumulated points. Having scored 5 and conceded 3 goals, the Kpando lads hit the road in confident mood after going four games without a defeat.

Karela United have played Heart of Lions once at home in the league since the Kpando lads gained promotion back into the Premiership last season with Coach Jimmy James Corbblah winning 1-0.

Medeama SC VS Nations FC  

Medeama SC entertain Nations FC to the TNA Sports Stadium in an epic clash on Sunday.

Medeama's early season has been punctuated with early victories and underwhelming performances in recent games.

They lost 2-0 at Bechem United to record their first defeat of the Premier League campaign this season.

Medeama SC currently sit 3rd place in the table with 11 points, scored 4 and conceded 3. They head into this fixture with 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat. Medeama have just won once and drawn twice at their newly state- of -the-art TnA Stadium.

Nations FC are among the six clubs in the league who are yet to taste a defeat in this campaign having won 2 and recorded 4 draws. They are currently occupying the 5th position in the league table with 10 points. The Abrankese lads have scored 4 goals and conceded 2. Nations FC are the best away side in the league this season with one draw and two consecutive victories.

Medeama SC have played Nations FC once at home in the league since the Abrankese lads gained promotion into the Premiership last season with the Mauve and Yellow winning 1-0.

Gold Stars FC vs Aduana

Aduana FC travel to the Bibiani Duns Park to battle League leaders Gold Stars FC in a stirring match week 7 encounter at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Sunday October 20, 2024.

The  visitors remain unbeaten after the opening six matches in the 2024-25 Premier League campaign. Gold Stars FC goes into this game with 3 wins and 3 draws, having scored 6 and conceded 3 in the process. Head coach Frimpong Manso side are the best home side in the league so far with a 100% win record and will be keen to grab all the spoils on Sunday.

Aduana FC recorded their first victory of the season last weekend against Dreams FC to end their five-game winless run. The Fire Club are currently occupying 13th position in the table. Having won 1, drawn 3 and suffered 2 defeats in their six league outings.

Gold Stars have played Aduana FC three times at home in the league since 2020/21 season with the Miners winning two and drawing one.

In the 2021/22 season, Gold Stars beat Aduana FC 1-0, drawn goalless in the 2022/23 season and recorded a 1-0 victory in the 2023/24 season.
