Ghana coach Avram Grant has handed Tunisia-based midfielder Seidu Salifu his debut Black Stars call-up for next week's friendlies against Senegal and Mali.
The Club Africaine midfielder was named in the Black Stars trainer's 22-man squad for the two matches to played in France.
The team is dominated by players who excelled for Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea last month.
But captain Asamoah Gyan has been excused for the two friendlies as he is continuing with his recovery from a slight injury at his club side.
England-based Jeffery Schlupp returns to the Black Stars after missing Africa's flagship football competition last month.
The Black Stars will play their first match against Senegal on 28 March before taking on Mali three days later.
The team will start camping in France on Monday.
Grant is preparing his squad for the start of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
