Leadership of the Ghana Police Service, under the instruction of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has fulfilled its promise to appoint a dedicated senior officer in each region to be responsible for Sports Policing.

The role termed as the Regional Sports Security Officer will be responsible for the overall Coordinating and operations of match day Security for all GFA Sanctioned competitions.

All sixteen officers have been invited to the zonal workshop for safety and security officers which starts today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

This ground breaking announcement forms part of the joint robust approach of the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Football Association to improve the Safety and Security at match venues across the country.

Attached, for the information of all Clubs and Stakeholders are the 16 appointed Regional Safety and Security Officers.
