Tamale City thrash Wa Sore Nante, Real Tamale United come from behind to beat Wa Power in Zone One

Tamale City maintained their lead in Zone 1A of the Access Bank Division One League after defeating Wa Sore Nante 3-0 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. Meanwhile, Real Tamale United staged a remarkable comeback to overcome Wa Power SC 4-2 in a thrilling encounter. Elsewhere, former Ghana Premier League side Bofoakwa Tano suffered a setback, losing 1-0 to Dormaa Unity SC on Saturday.

Former Premier League entrants Bofoakwa Tano suffered a 1-0 defeat to newcomers Dormaa Unity SC last Saturday. Ansah Owusu's brilliant strike in the 72nd minute secured the maximum points for the home side.

Real Tamale United comes from behind to beat Wa Power

Real Tamale United came from behind to beat Wa Power SC 4-2 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, keeping them within touching distance of Zone 1A leaders Tamale City. Wa Power SC's Songbaare Cidoth opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but Lukman Abdul Shakur equalized with a stunning goal in the 39th minute. After the break, Songbaare Cidoth scored again in the 47th minute, only for Lukman Abdul Shakur to respond with another lovely goal in the 69th minute. Wisdom Jonas and Keyan Mohammed sealed the win with goals in the 79th and 90th minutes, respectively. Israel Iddrisu of Wa Power SC was named Player of the Match.

Tamale City's Dominance give them impressive victory

Tamale City recorded a 3-0 victory over Wa Sore Nante, maintaining their first position in the Zone 1A table. Mujahid Iddrisu opened the scoring in the 17th minute, followed by Abdu Aziz Adams' superb strike in the 34th minute. Abdul Basit Lamale added to the tally in the 40th minute. Mujahid Iddrisu was adjudged Player of the Match.
