
Ghana's U-16 Girls’ team delivered a dominant performance against Malta, securing an emphatic 8-1 victory in a thrilling encounter at the Centenary Stadium, Ta' Qali-Attard.
Ghana started brightly, opening the scoring in the 15th minute through Seidatu Wahab, who calmly slotted home. Malta responded resiliently, equalizing in the 31st minute via a penalty.
However, Ghana quickly regained momentum. Just two minutes later, Priscilla Mensah found the back of the net, restoring Ghana's lead. The first half ended 2-1 in Ghana's favor.
The second half was a one-sided affair as Ghana turned on the style. Christiana Ashiaku, a standout performer, scored twice in quick succession. Her first goal came in the 47th minute, followed by another in the 52nd minute, extending Ghana's lead to 4-1.
Daniella Abass took center stage, netting her first goal in the 65th minute and another in the 73rd minute. Ghana's relentless attack continued, with Gloria Adomako Ameaa joining the scoring spree in the 82nd minute, making it 7-1.
Seidatu Wahab scored her second goal in the 89th minute, capping off a remarkable team performance. The game ended 8-1 in Ghana's favor.
