The Ghana Football Association, will, from Saturday, 4th January, 2025, commence an assessment exercise for a batch of 40 talented Under-15 girls. The players are to report to the Catholic Pastoral Center in Sunyani, Brong Ahafo Football Region.

The six-day assessment camp, to be led by Coach Joyce Boatey-Agyei, aims to identify players to bolster the current U15 national team that triumphantly won the WAFU Zone B U15 Girls Championship in Niger a few months ago.

Coach Boatey-Agyei, determined to build a formidable team for upcoming international competitions, is eager to uncover hidden gems among the 40 young players. "We're excited to see the talent and potential of these young girls. Our goal is to find players who can strengthen our current team and help us achieve success in future tournaments," she said.

The assessment camp will provide a comprehensive evaluation of each player's technical, tactical, physical, and mental abilities. Coach Boaitey and her team will put the girls through a series of drills and assessments to identify the most promising talents.

The selected players from this batch will join the existing team, which won the WAFU Zone B U15 Girls Championship, to form a formidable squad for the year's international competitions.

The Ghana Football Association remains committed to pursuing its strategy of developing women's football in the country, and this assessment camp is another major step in identifying and nurturing the next generation of female football stars.
