Chairman of the Black Meteors Management Committee Frederick Acheampong has outlined the team’s programme for the ongoing pre-tournament training tour in Egypt.
The National U23 team are currently in Alexandria, Egypt where they will take on the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly as part of preparations for the 2023 TotalEnergies U23 African Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco from June 24- July 8, 2023.
The team will face an Egyptian Club side in another friendly match on June 19 before travelling to Morocco for the competition.
Speaking with our Media Team at the Team’s training base in Alexandria, Mr Acheampong explained the decision to camp in Egypt ahead of the competition and also revealed various measures the GFA has put in place to ensure the team achieves its targets for the tournament.
