The President of the West African Football Union Zones B (WAFU Zone B), Kurt Edwin Simeon- Okraku, will attend the finals of the 2024 WAFU B CAF Women's Champions League on Friday August 23, 2024.
President Edwin Simeon-Okraku is in neighbouring Cote D'voire for the finals of the sub-regional Championship.
The GFA boss has already held discussions with Zone B Executive Director Phillip Tchere and Executive Director of the Fédération Ivoirienne de Football (FIF), Armand Désiré Gohourou, on the state of affairs at the WAFU B Secretariat and preparations for upcoming competitions.
The President will be in attendance as Edo Queens from Nigeria take on Ainonvi FC of Benin in an epic final at the Stade de la Paix, Bouaké on Friday August 23, 2024.
Ainonvi FC's journey to the final was marked by a gritty 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso's A.O Etincelle, while Edo Queens, the Nigerian representatives, secured their place in the final with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over host club Inter D'Abidjan.
President Simeon-Okraku, watched the third-placed match on Thursday August 22, 2024, where Inter D'Abidjan overcame A.O Etincelle 1-0 to clinch bronze.
