Young Apostles shared the spoils with Techiman Liberty at home to keep hold of the top spot in Zone One B of the Access Bank Division One League.
The Sunyani-based side started on the front foot and missed two decent chances in the first half. Both sides missed begging chances in the second half with the hosts having a lion’s share of possession.
Techiman Liberty Youth defended very well – as they frustrated Young Apostles all afternoon and forced the game into a goalless draw. The teams are separated by 2 points on the league table with Young Apostles looking pretty good in the Zone.
Up North - Tamale City remains in 2nd place on the table after drawing 1-1 with Victory Club Warriors to keep the pressure on leaders Techiman Heroes in Zone One 1A. Mustapha Mohammed put the visitors in front just before the break after he unleashed a fantastic strike in the 35th minute but his goal was cancelled by Yaro Isaac in the 8th minute of additional time.
Elsewhere, Techiman Heroes recorded a 2-0 win over Maana FC at home. Akwasi Randoff Nti scored the opener on the 7th minute before Mohammed Adama doubled the lead inside 11 minutes to round things up for the hosts.
