Soccer Intellectuals defeated Nations FC 2-0 at the Adu Assasan Park to breathe life into their push for survival.
The home side scored in either half to condemn the League leaders to their first defeat in five League matches. Hamidu Salifu scored the opening goal in the 36th minute before Anthony Owusu added to the tally in the 47th minute.
Elsewhere in the Zone - Basake Holy Stars pip Asekem FC 1-0 at home with Emmanuel Agyei scoring the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute.
Asekem FC created chances in the second half but failed to take them as the home side held on to win the points.
Ebusua Dwarfs gave their fans something to cheer about following a 3-0 win over Swedru All Blacks at the Swedru Park.
Enock Afram scored the first goal in the 10th minute to put Ebusua Dwarfs ahead before Joseph Edwin Kuma doubled the lead in the 45th minute. Back from recess, Hafiz Alhassan scored the third goal in the 82nd minute to complete the victory for Ebusua Dwarfs.
Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs shot stopper Bright Quaye was named the most valuable player of the match.
