Wa All Stars have recaptured top spot of the Ghana Premier League after comfortably beating Bechem United 2:0 in Wa.
With Hearts of Oak suffering a surprise defeat on the road to WAFA on Saturday, All Stars knew a win would take them back on top and they took full advantage with goals in either half.
Saddique Alhassan opened the scoring for All Stars after a converting a penalty in the 40th minute and Richard Arthur sealed the victory five minutes into the second half.
The win leaves All Stars two points clear of Hearts of Oak with seven matches to end the league.
In Sekondi, Aduana Stars missed an opportunity to close the gap on the top after they lost 2:1 to Hasaacas.
Ebo Duncan fired Hasaacas into an early, second-minute lead but Bright Adjei gave the visitors hope with a 25th minute equalizer.
Hasaacas however sealed their victory late in the first half with a Richmond Opoku penalty to boost their own chances on the league table.
At the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi, Asante Kotoko needed a late penalty converted by Amos Frempong to break a spirited Dreams FC.
The win is Kotoko's first since the second round of the league resumed.
In Obuasi, Ashantigold comfortably defeated their local rivals New Edubiase with Nuhu Fuseinin converting a penalty for the opener and Emmanuel Osei Baffuor sealing the victory.
Gockel Ahortor rescued a point for Inter Allies after he cancelled out Kwasi Donsu's opening goal for Medeama at the Tema Park. In fact Medeama could have still carried the day but Bismark Oppong missed an 87th minute penalty.
Berekum Chelsea and Liberty Professionals shared the points in Berekum with a 1:1 draw. Daniel Kodie scored for Liberty whiles Seth Appiah was on target for the home side.
