Zambian referee Chanshi Kasongo has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the second-leg preliminary-round encounter between Ghanaian side Nations FC and Mali’s FC Diarra in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup.

Kasongo has been named the Centre Referee for the decisive fixture, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He will be assisted by compatriots Trywell Nyirenda and Alick Njobvu, who will serve as the Assistant Referees, while fellow Zambian Hillary Hambaba has been appointed as the Fourth Official.

The remaining members of the CAF-appointed match officials are Nigerian Mohammed Sanusi, who will serve as the Match Commissioner, and Senegalese Ibrahima Birama Niang, who has been designated as the Referee Assessor.

The Ghanaian side will travel to Bamako, Mali, for the first leg on Saturday, September 5, where they will face FC Diarra before returning home for the decisive second leg one week later.
