The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed a team of Nigerian match officials to oversee the CAF Champions League preliminary round first-leg encounter between Medeama SC and TP Mazembe.

Joseph Odey Ogabor has been designated as the Centre Referee for the highly anticipated fixture, with compatriots Tejiri Besmart Digbori and Ahmad Tijani Mustapha appointed as Assistant Referees.

Salisu Basher, also from Nigeria, will serve as the Fourth Official.

Bakary Jammeh of The Gambia has been appointed as Match Commissioner, while Ivorian referee assessor Sinko Zeli will serve as the Referees Assessor.

Medeama will welcome Congolese giants TP Mazembe to the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa on Sunday, September 6, 2026, for the first leg of the preliminary round.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT (3pm local time), with the Yellow-and-Mauves set to begin their continental campaign against one of Africa’s most decorated clubs.

Medeama will be hoping to make home advantage count as they begin their quest to progress through the preliminary rounds and secure a place in the next stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
