Two Access Bank Division One League side Attram de Visser and PAC Academy will lock horns in the Quarter-final of the MTN FA Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
PAC Academy have been flying high in the ongoing campaign having eliminated two-time champions Medeama SC and King Faisal in the previous Rounds of the competition. The Zone Two campaigners are in the Quarter-final stage for the first time in the history of the competition, dispatched Wamanafo Mighty Royals at the preliminary stage before kicking out Bekwai Heroes, king Faisal and Medeama SC in the Round of 64, 32 and 16 respectively.
The Offinso based side are third in Zone Two of the Access Bank Division One League with 38 points – 10 points behind leaders Swedru All Blacks. They boast some of the finest talents in the League with the likes of Faisal Shaibu, Joseph Kojo Junior, Rashid Nuhu and Bernard Asante in full action.
Attram de Visser have not had a stellar campaign in the Access Bank Division One League but their performance in the MTN FA Cup has been nothing but impressive. Just like PAC Academy, Attram de Visser are also in the Quarter final for the first time. Owned by former Ghana International Godwin Attram, the club is noted for their scintillating football that has caught the attention of many admirers.
Attram de Visser defied the odds to eliminate Premier League side Bibiani Gold Stars (4-3), on penalties after holding out for a goalless draw in regulation time. They are 10th in Zone three with 26 points – 18 points adrift of leaders Hohoe United but victories against Kotoku Shining Stars, Okwahu United and Port City is what has brought them this far in the competition.
This fixture promises to be exciting, with some of Ghana's top football talents competing for a spot in the semi-finals. The match is scheduled for 3pm kick off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
