Bibiani Gold Stars share spoils with Heart of Lions

Bibiani Goldstars faltered at home for the first time this season as they gave away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Heart of Lions on Monday.

The result is Gold Stars first home draw whiles Heart of Lions extend their drawing streak to five.

Alex Aso got the opener in the 45th minute to give his side a slim lead before the break.

The miners doubled their lead nine minutes into the second half through midfielder Appiah McCarthy but the advantage was cut short two minutes later, with Yakubu Mumuni pulling one back for Heart of Lions.

Captain Ebenezer Abban scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute to make it 2-2 - much to the delight of the visitors.

The result leaves Bibiani Gold Stars in 8th place with 8 points whiles Heart of Lions sit 15th with 5 points - but with a game in hand.
