The Black Maidens returned to training on Sunday afternoon as they prepare for their last group match against New Zealand to be played on Tuesday November 20 at the Estadio Charrua in Montevideo.

The national U17 female side are on top of Group A with six points in the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup after beating tournament hosts Uruguay and Finland.

Coach Evans Adotey granted the players a free day on Saturday to help the refill their energies.

The team however returned to its training session at the Club Rentistas Stadium on Sunday evening with the coaches taking the players through an intensive session. 

All 21 players took part in the training session including Fuseina Mumuni who was stretched out in Ghana’s opening match against Uruguay.

Ghana’s match against New Zealand will kick off at 17:00pm (20:00pm GMT) on Tuesday.
