The Black Princesses have paid a courtesy visit to the Oguaaman Traditional Council ahead of the African Games.
The technical team and players led by Management Committee vice chairman Simon Ehomah visited the Palace to officially inform the Omanhene of Oguaa Traditional area of the Black Princesses participation in the African Games.
Omanhene Osabarima Kwesi Atta II urged the players to be discipline and adhere to the rules of their coaches to come out victorious.
''Football started in Cape Coast and so hosting the tournament here means you’re home. Indiscipline has let down lots of teams and so be disciplined on and off the pitch'' Osabarima Kwesi Atta II said.
''Being disciplined will affect your performance positively on and off the pitch. Be attentive and listen to instructions from your technical team, that is the only way you will go far in your career. Give them the maximum respect as your leaders''.
''You are representing the country and so do your best to represent our country Ghana well. I will come to the stadium to support the team so you have my full support. Let the trust placed in you be reflective on the pitch. There are equally good players out there but you’re lucky and the chosen ones to represent the country. Play as a team and don’t be selfish. I wish you all the best and I know you will'' the Omanhene added.
The Women football competition will be hosted at the Cape Coast Sports stadium from March 9 to 23, 2024.
