Sulley Muntari says Ghana is determined to put the lessons from past failures behind them and win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars, chasing a fifth title, come up against Zambia in Wednesday's semi-final match at the Estadio de Bata

Ghana, who finished second in the previous tournament, need to beat the Chipolopolo to keep alive their title dreams.

Muntari, who missed the last competition through injury, has promised that they will put those lessons to use in the match against Zambia.

“We have no excuse," the Ghana midfielder said. "We have our minds made up and are motivated to win.”

With the expectation level raised, Muntari admits that the is pressure on the Black Stars to win the African Cup.

“There is a bit of pressure when you are always the favourites. Since the FIFA World Cup in 2006, we have been playing well and exhibited great talent.

"People are expecting a lot from us and we (players) expect to do better as well. We want to win and we are on the right path.”
