An eleven-minute goal rush capped a friendly fixture on Wednesday between the local Black Stars team and premier league side, Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The local Black Stars preparing for the return fixture of the Africa Nations Championship qualifier this weekend against Niger earned a 2-1 win over the premier league leaders.
A brace by Osei Banahene within the last eleven minutes of the game helped the local Black Stars to win the test match.
Both sides had played 80 minutes of football with no goal to either side. But Osei Banahene stepped up to score the opener from a spot kick after 81 minutes to put the national team in the lead.
Kotoko drew level six minutes after the opener with Eric Opoku getting the equalizer.
As the game headed into injury time, Osei Banahene completed a brace as he sealed a win for the Black Stars when he scored the second goal in the 92nd minute.
The Black Stars have been preparing for the game against Niger from Kumasi after having won the first leg game of the preliminary round 2-0 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The Africa Nations Championships is a new tournament designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries and it will hosted by Ivory Coast from the 22nd of February till the 8th of March 2009.
