Boadu, Dormon, and Tanko Shortlisted for Ghana Premier League April/May Coach of the month

Three experienced and outstanding coaches have been shortlisted for the NASCO Coach of the Month award for April/May following their impressive performances, tactical acumen, and leadership in guiding their respective clubs during the period.

The nominees are Samuel Boadu of Berekum Chelsea, Winfred Dormon of Dreams FC, and Ibrahim Tanko of Medeama SC.

Samuel Boadu enjoyed an exceptional run with Berekum Chelsea, leading his side to six victories in seven league matches — the highest number of wins among the nominees — while suffering just one defeat. His team scored 12 goals and conceded only four, the fewest among the contenders. Boadu’s tactical decisions and strong leadership played a key role in helping Berekum Chelsea finish seventh on the league table with 50 points.

Winfred Dormon also delivered an impressive performance with Dreams FC, guiding the club to five wins from seven matches, with only two defeats. Under his stewardship, the Still Believe lads scored an outstanding 16 goals and conceded seven. His remarkable work helped Dreams FC secure a fourth-place finish on the league table with 52 points.

Ibrahim Tanko, meanwhile, led Medeama SC to four wins, one draw, and two defeats in seven league matches. His side scored an impressive 16 goals during the period but conceded nine — the highest among the nominees. Tanko’s leadership was instrumental in helping the Mauve and Yellow finish at the summit of the league table with 62 points from 34 matches.

The winner of the NASCO Coach of the Month award will receive a 43-inch NASCO television and a NASCO double-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, courtesy of Electroland Ghana Limited.
