Brong Ahafo Region and Northern Region will contest the final of the 2026 GFA Elite U-17 Girls Championship after producing impressive performances to win their respective semi-final fixtures at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Brong Ahafo, runners-up in last year's competition, arrived at this year's championship determined to go one step further, and they have lived up to expectations with another outstanding campaign. The team maintained their unbeaten run by edging Greater Accra Region 1-0, with Mercy Akilvoa scoring the decisive goal to secure a deserved place in the final.

The victory capped another disciplined display from Brong Ahafo, who have combined defensive solidity with clinical finishing throughout the tournament as they continue their pursuit of the championship title.

Northern Region also underlined their credentials with a commanding 2-0 victory over Volta Region. After making an impressive start to the competition, they carried their excellent form into the knockout stage, with Salwa Sulemana opening the scoring before Ruhia Mohammed sealed the win with a second-half strike.

The result ensured Northern Region preserved their impressive record in the championship and earned a place in the final, setting up an exciting showdown with Brong Ahafo.

The championship reaches its climax on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, when Brong Ahafo Region and Northern Region battle for the coveted Elite U-17 Girls Championship title at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
