Delegates arrive for 30th Ordinary GFA Congress

Delegates have arrived at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram on Monday August 26, 2024, for the 30th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The two-day event will take place at the new-look Technical Centre of the Ghana Football Association from August 26-27, 2024.

One hundred and twenty-four (124) representatives of Premier League Clubs, Women Premier League Clubs, Division One League and Regional Football Associations are converging in Prampram to take stock of activities undertaken in the 2023-24 season and to look at plans for the 2024-25 Football Season.

The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, is expected to provide updates on strategic initiatives being implemented and new ideas expected to be discussed and affirmed for execution during the main convocation of Congress on Tuesday August 27, 2024.

Delegates to Congress will deliberate on a wide range of issues impacting football in Ghana and discuss, collectively, ways of tackling some of the challenges

The 30th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA)  will span two days, offering an extended program of events for delegates.

Series of activities have been lined up for Delegates to have a fun-filled event at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, which also aims to enhance unity and team bonding.

Monday's activities are a combination of fun-filled games to be engaged in after group discussions on topical issues impacting Ghana Football. There will also be a presentation, photo session, interviews,  and the sod cutting for the construction of a modern gymnasium and swimming pool. Delegates will also visit areas of the refurbished accommodation facilities.

The main session of Congress will take place on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

The two-day Congress is expected to be a pivotal event in the GFA calendar, setting the stage for discussions and decisions that will shape the future of Ghanaian football.
