Caleb Ekuban is as on target again for the Black Stars as they Ghana beat Mauritania 3-1 at the Accra Stadium.
The Turkey based forward rounded off an impressive performance with a second half goal after earning Ghana a lone goal win over Kenya in the final 2019 AFCON qualifying match.
Kwesi Appiah shot the Black Stars into the lead in the first half from a spot kick.
Adama Ba however came from the bench to get the equalizer for the Mauritanians after he drove him a free kick minutes into the second half.
Coach Kwesi Appiah’s changes saw Mubarak Wakaso replace Alhassan Wakaso with Jordan Ayew also coming in for his club teammate Jeffrey Schlupp.
Ekuban who also came on in the second half headed in cross from Agbenyenu to send Ghana back into the lead.
Midfielder Thomas Partey increased the tally towards the tail end to give Ghana a 3-1 win over the West African side.
This is Ghana’s last friendly match ahead of the 2019 AFCON draw where all qualifying teams will know their opponents for the competition which will be held from June 21- July 19 in Egypt.
