Forson Amamkwah will join the Black Stars for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger after receiving a late call up. The Norwich City midfielder will travel with the rest of the squad to Kumasi on Tuesday to prepare for the Group F opener on Thursday.

The 21-year old has made an impressive start to his career at Carrow Road, following two assists in six appearances since his move from Red Bull Salzburg.

The former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) player has won two caps for Ghana after featuring against Nigeria and Uganda in March.

Ghana will host Angola at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Thursday, September 5, before travelling to Morocco to face Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
