Four foreign-based players would join the Under-20 side for the final round qualifying match for a place in the African Youth Championship.

Ghana has been paired against The Gambia for the September 28 fixture with the first leg coming up at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh has called up Andre Ayew, Rabiu Mohammed, Sadick Adams and Ransford Osei into the team for the weekend’s match against The Gambia.

Osei who captained Ghana in the previous qualifying round would join up with the team today while the remaining three expected before midweek.

The Black Satellites over the weekend came through a test game against former premiership champions, Accra Hearts of Oak, with the league side finishing the game by a 1-0 win.

Despite the loss, team coach, Sellas Tetteh was left impressed with the output of the team ahead of the African qualifier.

"This game with Hearts served a good preparation for us. We still have some days to wrap up.

"I have heard much about the Gambians regarding their strength and tactics, but they are beatable."

Africa’s qualifying series has now been narrowed down to 14 sides after the July’s first round of qualifiers.

Seven teams would qualify over a two-leg fixture for the Championship to be hosted by Rwanda in 2009.

Ghana reached the final round stage of the qualifiers after managing a 5-2 aggregate win over Angola.
