The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has entered into a three-year partnership agreement with Procus Ghana Limited, manufacturers of Kivo products in Ghana, to support and strengthen grassroots and youth football development across the country.

The partnership, officially unveiled on Thursday, 28th May 2026, represents another significant step in the GFA’s commitment to building strong foundations for Ghana football through strategic corporate collaborations focused on youth empowerment and talent development.

Under the agreement, Kivo becomes an official partner of the GFA’s grassroots and youth football development initiatives, with a particular focus on supporting Colts football and talent-identification structures nationwide.

The initiative is expected to provide essential structural resources, football equipment, and logistical support aimed at improving the organization and competitiveness of juvenile football across the regions.

A major highlight of the collaboration is the introduction of the KIVO U17 Regional Juvenile Clubs Champions League; a groundbreaking competition designed specifically for Colts Football Clubs across the country. The initiative is expected to create a competitive and structured platform for young football talents to showcase their abilities, gain exposure, and accelerate their development within the national football ecosystem.

Speaking at the partnership announcement ceremony, representatives of Procus Ghana Limited reaffirmed the company’s commitment to community development and youth empowerment through sports.

The company noted that the partnership aligns with its corporate vision of identifying, nurturing, and supporting young Ghanaian talents while contributing meaningfully to national development through football.

“This partnership is about investing in the future of Ghana football and giving young talents across the country the opportunity to grow and succeed,” Evans Cofie, Head of Marketing of Procus Ghana stated.

Vice-President of the Ghana Football Association, Mark Addo, expressed appreciation to Procus Ghana Limited for believing in the GFA’s vision for grassroots football development.

“We are deeply grateful to Procus Ghana Limited and the Kivo brand for this important partnership. Grassroots football remains the lifeblood of Ghana football, and collaborations such as this will help us create better opportunities for young talents across the country. This is not just a sponsorship agreement; it is an investment in the future of Ghana football,” Mark Addo said.

The Ghana Football Association also welcomed the partnership as a timely and strategic intervention that will help strengthen the grassroots football ecosystem and create more opportunities for young players to develop their talents.

GFA officials emphasized that sustainable football success begins with investment in juvenile and grassroots football, describing the Kivo partnership as a shared commitment towards building stronger foundations for the future of the game.

The partnership forms part of the GFA’s broader agenda to attract private sector support into football development and ensure that young talents across the country receive the support and exposure needed to thrive. With this collaboration, both the GFA and Procus Ghana Limited expect to work closely over the next three years to drive impactful football development initiatives and inspire the next generation of Ghanaian football stars.
