The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Free License D Coaching Course has successfully concluded in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The closing ceremony, held at the Nana Kronamansah Park in Nsoatre, marked the end of an intensive training program aimed at equipping grassroots coaches with essential coaching skills.

Dr. Charles Antoh, Chairman of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association, presided over the closing session. In his address, Dr. Antoh commended the participants for their dedication and urged them to be ambitious in their coaching careers.

He emphasised the crucial role that grassroots coaches play in the development of football in the region and across the country.

"Your role as grassroots coaches is pivotal in shaping the future of football in Ghana. Be ambitious, be innovative, and strive to engineer positive change in the development of young talents," Dr. Antoh advised the young coaches.

The course, which began on August 13 and ended on August 20, 2024, brought together 30 Colts club coaches and 10 female club coaches from across the region. The training was designed to enhance their coaching techniques and ensure that they are well-prepared to nurture the next generation of football talent.

In addition to technical coaching, participants also underwent a comprehensive Safeguarding training session as part of the GFA's commitment to creating a safe and enabling environment for young players. This training, which included the FIFA Guardians Safeguarding Essentials course, broadened the coaches' understanding of their responsibility in protecting children from harm and abuse in the footballing environment.
