The Ghana Football Association’s free License D Coaching Course in the Volta Region is set to start on 28th August, 2024, and scheduled to conclude on September 4, 2024. This initiative is part of the GFA’s ongoing efforts to enhance grassroots football coaching across the country.
The course is taking place at the Ho Barracks Park and has attracted 40 participants, comprising 30 Colts coaches and 10 female coaches.
Beyond the standard coaching curriculum, the participants will also engage in GFA/FIFA Safeguarding training. This critical aspect of the course is designed to equip coaches with the skills necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of young players, promoting a secure environment within the sport.
Leading the training are seasoned instructors Charles Anokye Frimpong and Samuel Avorgah, who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program. Their guidance is expected to be instrumental in shaping the future of football coaching in the Volta Region.
By providing accessible, high-quality training to grassroots coaches, the GFA aims to build a solid foundation for the future of Ghanaian football, ensuring that young talents receive the best possible mentorship and guidance as they progress in the sport.
