Accra Great Olympics scored three goals in 20 minutes to break down Accra Lions 3-0 in their Matchday 5 betPawa Premier League game at the Accra Sports stadium Monday.

Olympics went into the game looking to solidify their dominance over their city rivals following back to back wins since the 2021/22 season.

The Dade boys scored the opener through Michael Yeboah in the 11th minute. The pacy attacker added the second goal two minutes later to give his side a commanding lead before Emmanuel Antwi scored the third goal in the 20th minute for Great Olympics.

Back from recess, Accra Lions fought tooth and nail to redeem themselves but fell short of the needed impetus to fight back as Great Olympics held on to win 3-0 - their third consecutive home win over Accra Lions.

Great Olympics are now top of the league log with 9 points - same as FC Samartex and Bofoakwa Tano. Whiles Accra Lions drops to the 13th spot with 5 points.
