Accra Hearts of Oak continued their unimpressive start to the season with a goalless draw against FC Samartex 1996 at the Accra sports stadium Saturday.
The former League champions who have won only once this season have now gone three games without a win.
Hearts of Oak began the season with a 1-0 loss to Real Tamale United on the road before bouncing back to beat Nsoatreman FC 1-0 at the Accra Sports stadium.
Results have been nothing but appalling following the defeat to Bofoakwa Tano and the home draw against Dreams FC.
With a game in hand, Hearts of Oak aimed for the points to appease their fans but a spiritless game left them with only one point on Saturday.
Samartex's game plan was well cutout as they kept a solid back line to frustrate Hearts of Oak. Goalkeeper Kofi Baah Hamza Issah what seemed to be the winning goal in the 67th minute.
Hearts of Oak later introduced Kashala Ramos and Salifu Ibrahim but their presence didn’t make any significant difference as FC Samartex held on to clinch a draw from the jaws of the Phobians.
The result leaves Hearts of Oak in 12th position with 5 points as FC Samartex climbs up to the top spot with 10 points.
