Another last minute goal caused Ghana its first win in the ongoing 2016 FIFA U20 World Cup tournament in Papua New Guinea as the Black Princesses drew 2-2 with France on Thursday.

Delphine Cascarino gave the French side the lead on the half hour mark before Sandra Owusu Ansah equalized for the Princesses with a minute to end the first half.

Jane Ayieyam put Ghana ahead in the 65th minute and just when Ghana thought it was going to seal the three points in the game, substitute Clara Mateo scored a heart breaking goal to end the game level.

France began the game as the better side as they tried to break the resolute  Ghanaian defense from the blast of the whistle.

They were rewarded with a goal  in the 30th minute when Cascarino latched on to a pass from Gauvin who was surging down the right to beat Agyei in post for Ghana.

With a minute to halftime, skipper Samira Abdul- Rahman's short pass found sensational young forward Sandra Owusu who run on to it to find the equalizer for Ghana before the break.

Ghana came into the second half the stronger side and took the lead in the 65th minute when Jane Ayieyam managed to stuck a foot in past the back-tracking defender to loop the ball over the goalkeeper from 30 yards.

The Black Princesses had an opportunity to increase their lead in the 80th minute when Princella Adubea was brought down in the box.

Abdul-Rahman's penalty kick was however saved by Mylene Chavas to keep the score line at 2-1 at that point. 

In the final minute of added time, Cascarino's delivered a cross into the box from the right which was headed home from close range to end the game 2-2.

Ghana now has one point in Group C with France second with 2 points while  we Zealand who will face USA later today in the second round of group matches.
