Ghana needs a win against Brazil to boost their chances of progressing past the group stages at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The Black Maidens must beat the South Americans on Thursday after their opening match loss to Canada to enhance their chances of qualifying.

Coach of the Ghana team, Abraham Allotey admits that Brazil who won their first match are a tough side but is confident that the Black Maidens can rise to the occasion.

"Nothing is lost yet, though. We’ll get back down to work quickly so that we can go into our match against Brazil in the best shape possible. They look to be difficult opponents," says Allotey.

Ghana are making their second appearance at the U-17 Women’s World Cup.
