The Bantama Kookoase Astroturf hosted the game between Ashtown Ladies and Tamale based PearlPia Ladies in a crucial encounter.
Josephine Addowaah broke the deadlock in the 4th minute following a blistering start to the game.
Back from the break, both teams came with different tactics but it favored the home side as Keziah Asantewaa and Emmanuella Wirenkyi got their name on the scoresheet on the 69th and injury time to climax the three Maximum points.
Elsewhere - Defending champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies lost 3:2 to Supreme Ladies at the Bantama Astro Turf. The visitors started the game on a high and found the back of the net through Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah in the 17th minute. But that didn’t last long as Diana Amoako restored parity for the host in the 19th minute.
Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah scored again before halftime to put Ampem Darkoa back in the lead. Bridget Sakyi scored right on the verge of halftime to draw the home side level. After the half time break, the host piled pressure on the defending champions as they created many chances but were denied on several occasions.
In the 81st minute, Linda Owusu Ansah scored to put the host in front for the first time in the game. Ampem Darkoa Ladies brought in fresh Legs to push for the equaliser but Supreme Ladies defended their lead as the game eventually ended 3:2 in favour of Supreme Ladies.
