Ghana’s FIFA Assistant Referee, Mary Tei, has earned a spot among the distinguished officials selected to officiate in the ongoing West African Football Union Zone A (WAFU A) CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, being staged in Sierra Leone.
Mary Tei, Ghana’s sole match official at the WAFU A CAF Champions League qualifiers, has previously officiated high-profile matches, including the AFCON Women’s qualifiers and U-17 Women’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
She was also part of the officiating team for the maiden edition the Democracy Cup, involving Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko SC.
Additionally, Tei served as an assistant referee in the grand finale of the 2023/24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League between eventual champions Hasaacas Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
