Ghana captain John Mensah insists he is fit to lead Ghana in the quarter-final of the Africa Cup of Nations against Tunisia on Sunday in Franceville.

Mensah was an unused substitute in the Black Stars' final group clash with Guinea as he continued his return to full fitness from a thigh injury.

The defender is adamant he is available for selection against the Carthage Eagles at the Stade de Franceville.

"I'm fine now and I have been doing a few personal training outside," Mensah said at Saturday's pre-match conference.

"When I had the problem, the doctor told how long I will spend on the sidelines but I didn't want to risk it in training but right now I'm fine.”

Mensah scored Ghana's first goal at the competition against Botswana but was later on sent off in the same game.
