Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi is confident that the Black Satellites will be title contenders at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The Ghana U-20's have qualified for the World Cup finals in Turkey this June after finishing second to Egypt in last month's final of the African Youth Championship where they lost 5-4 on penalties.

"We lost this[African Youth Championship] championship by inches through the penalty shoot-out and I hope the technical team will pick up the pieces for us to go to Turkey and win this time not silver but gold," said Nyantakyi, who was at the Airport to welcome home the Black Satellites from the continental competition Algeria.

Ghana will begin its campaign at the World Cup with an opening match against France in Group A in Istanbul on 21 June before fixtures against Spain and USA.

Despite being handed a tough group, the GFA President believes the national team have qualities to match their opponents.

"Three of you were chosen among the best XI, two of you in the reserve team and you made us every proud with this performance

"We are looking forward that at the World Cup in June/July in Turkey, this team will make a case for Ghana."

The Black Satellites, won the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup to become the first and only African side to annex the title to date.
