Bechem United recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Aduana FC to move within touching distance of a top-four in the Bono derby on Saturday June 1, 2024.

Emmanuel Owusu's 77th minute strike separated the two teams at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour park in Bechem.

The win has lifted the Hunters to 5th position on the table, just a point behind fourth-placed Nations FC with 47 points.

The two teams failed to break down each other in a pulsating first half before Emmanuel Owusu found a breakthrough 13th minute into regulation time.

Aduana FC, who are second on the table with 49 points, will be out of the race for the Premier League title if leaders FC Samartex 1996 pick at least a draw at home against Bibiani GoldStars FC at the Nsenkyire Arena in the Western derby on Sunday June 2, 2024.

Elsewhere, Mohammed Alidu scored a breathtaking goal for Legon Cities FC in their 1-0 win over Bofoakwa Tano at home on Saturday.

Alidu's 30th minute screamer separated the two teams at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu and cushioned the Royals to 9th position on the Premier League table.

The talented player delivered a piledriver into the top to hand the home side the needed victory.

Bofoakwa Tano appears to be making a quick return to the Division One next season as they lie 17th on the table with 33 points, 12 points adrift of safety with two matches to end the season.

The remaining SIX Premier League matches will take place across the country on Sunday June 2, 2024 as the season reaches home stretch.
