Goran Stevanovic says Zambia's Renard Herve could be under pressure planning against the Black Stars due to vast knowledge of Ghana's quality.
Both countries meet in the semi-final of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday at the Estadio de Bata.
Renard was an assistant Ghana coach in 2008 when the Black Stars finished third at the competition and has gone on to work in Angola and now Zambia.
The game would be his first Nations Cup meeting against Ghana but Stevanovic insists the pressure is on the Frenchman.
"Sometimes, it’s not so good when you know the quality of Andre Ayew, [Asamoah] Gyan and Sulley [Muntari] before the game," Stevanovic said about his meeting with the former Black Stars assistant coach.
"You can be afraid even before. I respect the coach, I respect the team. Our opponent is very strong, very disciplined and for us, it is a very tough game tomorrow."
The Zambian coach has said his team is capable of springing an upset but Stevanovic believes Ghana's quality could decide the game.
"We respect all teams but are always aware of our quality," he said.
The playing styles of both teams have been compared with analysts claiming that the midfield could be a key area in determining which side wins the game.
Stevanovic says Ghana will try to impose their game, insisting that both teams play differently.
"I know the Zambia team very well and I saw their tapes and we play differently, I can say.
"We will try to impose our style because definitely we have our style of the game and for us I can say it doesn’t matter who are the opposing side."
