Ghana coach Robert Sackey wants the Black Princesses to show signs of their readiness to earn a place at the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

The Black Princesses, having skipped the preliminary round of qualifying welcome Namibia in the first leg of the first round for a place at the finals in Japan.

Sackey says the U-20 side after three months in camp have done “all it needs to do” to get a good result when they meet their opponents at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

“We have been preparing very well for this match and I believe we have done what we have to do to win this match,” Sackey told www.ghanafa.org in an interview.

“The players are fit and well motivated to start this campaign and we will put the finishing touches on our preparations before this weekend.”

For the Black Princesses coach, every match in a qualifying campaign is of great importance, stressing the need to take each game seriously.

“It’s (the match) a very, very important match for us. It’s a World Cup qualifier and it’s also our first home game so we are taking it very seriously.

“In World Cup qualifiers, every game counts.”

Ghana travels to Windhoek for the reverse game on the weekend on 2-4 March, 2012 as the Black Princesses aim to make their second finals after their debut in Germany 2010.

The continent needs to field two teams for the World Cup from 18 August - 09 September.
