Samartex FC have been charged on two counts in respect of their GN Bank Division One League match against Elmina Sharks played in Samreboi.

Officials of the Club allegedly prevented the GFA camera man from filming the match by threating him with injury and death should he attempt to come to the park to cover the match in violation to the GFA General Regulations.

Samartex FC is hereby charged for a breach of Articles 35(1)(c) of the GFA General Regulations in respect of this match.

Also around the 86th minute of the match, the Club failed to control their supporters when one of them invaded the field of play without permission and prevented a player from taking a ball which had gone out of play in order to waste playing time contrary to the GFA General Regulations.

The Club has therefore been charged for a breach of Article 58 of the Disciplinary Code and Articles 35(1)(a), 35(4) and 35(7)(d) of the GFA General Regulations in respect of this match.

Samartex are required to submit their written Statement of Defence to the charge(s) on or before Thursday, October 1, 2015 on or before 5pm at the GFA Secretariat or through email address to the Disciplinary Committee [email protected], failing which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case without the Statement of Defence.

Should they choose Defence Options 3 (Personal Hearing) in the Statement of Defence, they will attend the Disciplinary Committee on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 3pm at the GFA Secretariat to answer to the charge(s), failure which the Disciplinary Committee shall proceed to adjudicate the case in their absence.
