Ghana's Under 20 side began their FIFA Under 20 World Cup campaign in New Zealand with a tight draw against Austria.
After a stalemate in the first half, the Austrians stunned the Satellites with the opener but the Satellites fought back with a late equalizer by Yaw Yeboah.
Gschweidl controlled nicely on the left side of Ghana and took advantage of a defensive slip up to fire his side ahead.
The Satellites responded well by coming into game strongly but few opportunities were created upfront.
With the clock ticking and the Satellites in danger of losing their proud undefeated record of in the group stage of the U20 World Cup, Yaw Yeboah was brought down in the 18 yard box and the referee awarded Ghana a late penalty with a minute to go.
Yaw Yeboah calmly slotted the ball in to hand Ghana a deserved point.
Earlier, Panama held Argentina to a 2:2 draw, meaning all four teams in Group B are on a point after the first round of matches.
Ghana will next play Argentina on Tuesday.
