Ghana takes a commanding lead in Group B at the second 8-nations Sasol tournament after the Black Satellites posted a 3-1 win over Lesotho on Wednesday.
Goals from Bismark Idan and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu both new entrants to the squad and team captain Samuel Enzemaba handed Ghana a deserved victory in rather cold conditions at the Eldorado Park Stadium in Gauteng, South Africa.
Ghana had a fourth goal by Felix Baffoe disallowed.
The other Group B fixture involving Ivory Coast and the young Pharaohs of Egypt ended goalless.
Bismark Idan put Ghana in the lead but their opponents levelled up.
The national under-20 side after the equaliser followed up with two more goals through Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Samuel Enzemaba to wrap up victory.
The win sends Ghana top of the standings as they prepare for the second group game on Friday against West African neighbours, Ivory Coast.
