Team News: Partey, Kudus, Semenyo and Nuamah start against Mali in Bamako

Otto Addo has named Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, France based Ernest Nuamah and Mohammed Kudus in his starting lineup for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali.

Partey who missed the recent friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda returns to the side for the first time since October 14, 2023. Also in the team is West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus who had a stellar campaign by scoring 8 goals in 33 appearances for the Premier League side following his move from Ajax.

In post is Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alexander Djiku and Mohammed Salisu will partner in central defense, while Alidu Seidu and Gideon Mensah play as full backs. Abdul Samed Salis and Thomas Partey have been deployed in midfield.

Tariq Lamptey and Ernest Nuamah will play as wingers while Mohammed Kudus operates behind Antoine Semenyo in attack.

Ghana have amassed 3 points from the first two matches in the Group and are in need of a win to get their qualification campaign back on track.
